Follow a traditional mid-morning brunch with a free guided springtime interpretive walk along the sunny Laguna Trail for a wonderful, memorable Mother’s Day. Soak up the bright sun, listen to birds singing from their nests, and observe blooming flowers while spending quality time outdoors with friends and family and learning more about our beautiful backyard. After a short introduction at the Laguna Environmental Center, we will head out to the Laguna Trail to take a leisurely walk, spending time observing the flora and fauna, and eventually stop at a lovely vantage point to create nature-themed cards using pressed flowers to give to a mother figure in your life or simply to have as a decoration in your home.
Beginning and ending at Heron Hall, most of this workshop will take place outdoors at the Laguna Environmental Center and carpooling to the nearby Laguna Trail along Occidental Road. Total walking will be 1-2 miles on mostly flat but uneven terrain. Snacks and light refreshments will be provided in the morning. Participants can bring their own lunch if they’d like. This is a family-friendly event, and we will have bilingual staff available for translation and support. Rain cancels.
