MLK Jr. Day of Giving at Nathanson Creek Preserve

Date: Monday, January 20th
Time: 10:00am – 1:00pm
Location: Nathanson Creek Preserve

In the spirit of Martin Luther King’s vision of a healthy and connected community, join us in a day of community action at Nathanson Creek Preserve!

Tour this unusual garden, featuring native plant communities from around Sonoma Valley, and help us maintain it as we celebrate community and enjoy the wonderful sounds, sights, smells of nature!

The property was Protected by Ag + Open Space in 2002 through the Matching Grant Program and adds to the Nathanson Creek Trail Corridor that runs alongside Sonoma Valley High School. It is a part of the Nathanson Creek Preserve and Trailway Master Plan, a community-initiated project to provide creek restoration and recreation.

This day is family-friendly! No previous experience or training necessary. Tools and gloves provided.

This outing is made possible by Sonoma County Ag + Open Space and the voters of Sonoma County who fund the district’s work with a quarter cent sales tax.

The event is free, but registration is required. Click here to RSVP >>
