We invite you to join your friends at Sonoma Land Trust, The Wildlands Conservancy, and your Agricultural Preservation and Open Space District in celebrating many decades of working together to preserve land and connect our community to the places in Sonoma County that we hold dear. We couldn’t think of a better way to welcome fall, honor our partnerships and thank our community for supporting our vision, hard work and success. Join us to partake of the astounding beauty of the Jenner Headlands Preserve and the recently protected 238-acre Pole Mountain property and, together, let’s climb to one of the highest points in the region — Pole Mountain.
Your guides will provide historical context and discuss property features as they lead the epic 15-mile roundtrip hike from the Jenner Headlands, across the coastal prairie, and up the ridge through the coastal woodlands to the flanks of Pole Mountain. Enjoy spectacular scenic vistas of the Sonoma Coast and the surrounding wildland landscape. We’ll enjoy a picnic lunch provided by the Ag and Open Space District as we take in the beautiful sights and sounds from the very top of the Sonoma Coast Range.
Please note: You must be in very good physical condition to participate in this strenuous 15-mile hike with a total of 3,600 feet in elevation gain.
