Crafting with Autumn’s Abundance! Fall is gourd-geous! Let’s celebrate the beautiful bounty by making nature crafts to decorate your home and workspace.

Meet at the enchanting Sonoma Garden Park for a make-and-take crafting experience and demonstrations of fall wreaths and decor for the season. You will be able build your own special wreath using dried and fresh greens, grasses, and flowers that will last. A variety of materials will be available for creating unique decor of your own.

Julia Megna, of Flower Decor by Julia, will demonstrate elements and options to create inspired tablescapes. From holiday centerpieces of succulent plant-stuffed gourds and woodland inspired table runners, to soulful mantle altars, the bounty has no boundaries. Let’s spark that creative muse in you this fall and give your indoor environments joyful touchstones of the season.

Do dress warmly with sturdy shoes and bring a mug and garden clippers if you have them. Feel free to arrive early for Harvest Market shopping in the straw bale barn or bring a picnic to enjoy in the garden after.

There is no charge for this outing, which is made possible by the voters of Sonoma County who fund the work of Ag + Open Space with a quarter-cent sales tax.

Sonoma Garden Park was protected by Sonoma County Ag + Open Space in November of 2011 for recreation and preservation of its natural resources and learning classroom environment for agriculture field trips for nearby elementary schools through Sonoma Ecology Center’s “Growing Discovery” program. The 6-acre property, hidden in eastern Sonoma, is an incredible public park and working garden site in Sonoma Valley, containing a wide array of habitats alongside sustainably designed systems for both agriculture use and landscaping purposes.
