Únase a LandPaths y al Distrito de Preservación Agrícola y Espacio Abierto del Condado de Sonoma mientras disfrutamos de la Montaña Saddle a través de un lente interpretativo de la ecología del fuego. Aunque la Montaña Saddle no se quemó en el incendio de Tubbs, habrá vistas del área quemada, y tendremos la oportunidad de analizar el impacto ecológico del fuego en una variedad de hábitats nativos. Veremos áreas que podrían beneficiarse de los tratamientos combustibles como el raleo mecánico o el quemazón prescrito para reducir el riesgo de incendios forestales y apoyar la salud de los ecosistemas nativos. Esta será una excursión de tres millas de caminata moderada en total con un poco de subidas.

Join LandPaths and the Sonoma County Agricultural Preservation and Open Space District as we enjoy Saddle Mountain through the interpretive lens of fire ecology. While Saddle Mountain didn’t burn in the Tubbs fire, there will be views of the burned area, and we’ll have an opportunity to discuss fire’s ecological role in a variety of native habitats. We’ll view areas that could benefit from fuels treatments such as mechanical thinning or prescribed burning to reduce wildfire risk and support the health of native ecosystems. This will be a three-mile round-trip, moderate hike led in Spanish and will involve some elevation gain.
