After School Activity Time at Montini Open Space Preserve
*Subject to cancellation due to air quality*
Date: Every Wednesday in October
Time: 1:30-3pm or 3:15-4:45pm
Location: Montini Open Space Preserve, Field of Dreams parking lot entrance
Wednesday afternoons this fall, Sonoma Ecology Center educators and Ag + Open Space will be providing what every kid needs after the laptops close: outdoor activities that are educational and fun.
Every Wednesday in October, an activity table will be set up at Montini Open Space Preserve, and activities will focus on learning about indigenous people of the region and the beautiful oak woodland. There are two time slots available daily to accommodate smaller group settings. The first slot is from 1:30-3:00pm and the second from 3:15-4:45pm so as to avoid any crossover of the groups. Please only sign up for one time slot.
Please bring your mask, personal hand sanitizer, and a water bottle. A pencil or writing utensil, binoculars, and shade hats are optional but encouraged to bring as well! All participants must wear a mask and comply with social distancing guidelines. Please arrive as close to the start time as you can for a short safety talk.
Registration is required to ensure events are in compliance with Sonoma County’s Health Order governing outdoor recreation. Sign up here >>
Parent or chaperone supervision is required. For more information, contact Tony Passantino at tony@sonomaecologycenter.org.
There is no charge for this event, which is made possible by the voters of Sonoma County who fund the work of Ag + Open Space with a quarter-cent sales tax.
