Strawberries are back in season, come have an early taste of summer on the farm! Innovative and inspiring landowners Seth and Sarah James have kept the integrity of the historic Burns dairy property and creatively woven a new chapter for the 560 acre farm; raising grass fed beef, growing vegetables, flowers, and herbs, all with organic and biodynamic practices.
Join the Sonoma RCD to visit this protected property by a conservation easement with the Sonoma County Agricultural Preservation and Open Space District. Experience the history, creativity and passion for agriculture, community and the natural environment shared by Open Field Farm, while taking in the expansive views of West Petaluma on a moderate hike to the lake above the farm! Strawberry demonstration and tasting with fruit from the CSA. BYO picnic lunch to enjoy after the hike.
